THE TREAD
Unlike traditional treadmills on the market today, the Tread portion of the TreadDesk was designed and engineered to be used for extended periods of time at slower speeds. If you were to use a traditional treadmill at slower speeds such as 1.0-2.0 mph for hours at a time, you would most likely burn the motor up in less than one year. Handrails have been eliminated in order to fit under a desk, and our compact proprietarty control panel has been designed to sit on top of your desk. The control panel displays the speed, time, distance and calories burned.
The overall dimensions of the Tread are 58"x 24"x 4.5". The belt is 18"x 48" and there are 4 adjustable feet underneath for those uneven floors. The Tread weighs 114 lbs when boxed up for shipping, and 101 lbs when unpacked. The belt is driven by a 2.0 hp, 90 volt electric motor that draws between 5-8 amps when under load. A rubber treadmill mat is also included with the purchase of each Tread.
